Acute Care

Laminitis prevention is preferred but not always possible. If not possible, the goal is early recognition and treatment. Hoof applications/ techniques vary at this stage but center around protecting blood vessels in hooves!

Progression

A multidisciplinary approach is critical if an equine experiences bony or blood vessel changes within the hoof capsule.

Shoeing applications are developed with the individual's hooves in mind.

Long-Term Management

Once equines have stabilized long-term care is essential. Once damage has happened inside the hoof capsule, lifelong management is needed to maximize soundness.
